Genesis 3:17-19

Then to Adam He said, "Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it': "Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return."

The taint of sin affects us all, thus it's outcome affects all of human kind. We need to toil each day for food, water and shelter. Our toiling is hard work - which is the meaning of "in the sweat of your face you shall eat bread". There is no rest; unless you accept God's forgiveness through Jesus. There is no getting away with this fact. All humans are destined to die and be judged. Only by accepting the saving grace of God, through Jesus Christ can we be saved from hell. Jesus paid the price, but you need to accept the gift of eternal life.
