Romans 1:18,19

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.

It is a lie of Satan that God does not exist, and for those that do believe in a 'higher power' the lie is extended to refuting the righteousness of God. Judgement comes to all, but those that have accepted the blood of Christ are saved and will be taken to be with the Lord. The essence of these verses is that no person is without excuse. God does exist and His righteousness demonstrates the world is in a desperate need of salvation. As Arno Gaebelein writes: “All who are ungodly and unrighteous, who oppose the truth by living in sin are under wrath. And this is now shown to be the actual condition of the entire world, Gentiles and Jews. All are by nature the children of wrath (Ephesians 2:3). A holy God must forever exclude from His Presence those who are His enemies by wicked works.”
