Many waters cannot quench love, Nor can the floods drown it. If a man would give for love All the wealth of his house, It would be utterly despised.
Many refuse to read Song of Solomon, dispite the Holy Spirit placing it in the Holy Writ. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Solomon describes the depth and breadth of love of a man and a woman must have in their marriage relationship. Many despise this book because it describes with accuracy beauty of the human body, created by God, for each to enjoy in a physical way in marriage. All of Scripture is given to benefit us in our relationship with God and each other - Song of Solomon pertains to marriage. Some suggest it is also pictorial of the love of Christ for his Church.
