The Five Solas of Christianity are five Latin phrases that summarise the essential beliefs of Christianity. They originate from the Protestant Reformation, and is often epitomised by Martin Luther (1483-1546) who nailed his 95 theses (single points of truth) to the door of All Saints’ Church in Wittenberg, Germany on 31 October 1517. Luther boldly proclaimed salvation to be received by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ.
