For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

For it is by grace that believers in Christ have been saved; the grace of God who loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins (1 John 4:10), so the wrath of God is turned from the believer, and whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. (1 John 4:15)
