Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said: "Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?
Dress for action like a man; I will question you, and you make it known to me. "Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?
Tell me, if you have understanding.
Who determined its measurements—surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it?
On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Job suffers. His friends believe he is a sinner and must repent, yet God says Job was righteous (imputed to him because Job put his faith in Yahwah i.e. Jehovah). His wife tells him to curse God, which would result in his death and eternal separation from God. After some 35 chapters of dialogue, God answers; He says nothing of Job's suffering but says - look at my creation. "Creation shows that I am God the great I Am and I am in control". The righteous suffer because all humans are tainted with sin - our future with Christ will have no suffering, for those that love God and put their faith in Jesus Christ; these look forward to that day.
