Humans love to justify themselves; their ways are clean in their own eyes; but the LORD weighs the spirit, being the heart's desires from where all motives arise. The ways of humans will be found wanting. He is the judge of ways and motives. Our works are to be committed (literal: rolled upon) unto the LORD, then establishment and blessing will follow. Thus to be a useful vessel for the Lord, we must rely on God.
