DRAFT: Harmony of the gospels v4

It can be very useful to read together what each of the gospel writers wrote about a particular event. In some cases all four wrote about an event, but in many cases only one or two reported a particular event. This Harmony aligns verses from all four Gospels side by side, where they exist, in the same way you would do when comparing Bible verses.

This page is based on Arnold Fruchtenbaum's harmony, which can be found here, published by Ariel Ministeries. Unlike most (if not all) other harmonies, Ariel's harmony is thematically based under 12 major headings. Other harmonies tend to focus on the geographic location of the event.

Computerising a harmony is not with out challenges - indeed this author would suggest the book form is the best way to observe exactly how the verses align. Note that unlike the hard copy form, the verses are not aligned perfecly, but rather grouped by paragraphed number as per Ariel's. This is my first attempt at this, so further improvements are needed. Note also, that part verses are displayed as whole verses.

A draft outline of the headings from Fruchtenbaum's harmony can be found here: Harmony of the Gospel Headings and Paragraphs

Other harmonies can be found here:

Reference

This page is based on Arnold Fruchtenbaum's harmony, which can be found here, published by Ariel Ministeries. Unlike most (if not all) other harmonies, this harmony is thematically based under 12 major headings.

A draft outline of the headings from Fruchtenbaum's harmony can be found here: harmony on line.
